Google My Business

Google offers many options like Google My Business, a free tool that lets you manage how your business appears on Google search and maps. Customers can leave reviews and contact you directly from the search results page. Also, Google Search Console where you can optimize content by finding out which queries bring users to your site - useful later when integrating with Google Ads.

Facebook and Instagram

Connect with customers, grow your audience and showcase your products with a free business page. These two platforms probably have the highest impact on your marketing. With Facebook Business Manager you can manage Instagram on Facebook and see some metrics on posts and followers. 

Search Engine Optimisation

Which keywords do you want to rank for? Are they realistic? Your content needs to be unique. Your content needs to supply a demand (what problem is your content solving?). Your content also needs to be linkable. 

Email

If you're using a free service and you have a database of email addresses, you can upload your list, segmented in a way that suits your business, and craft relevant, personalised content. Cold-emailing is sometimes seen as dodgy but that's because people haven't done it properly. To build up a database, reach out to your networks (social or elsewhere) and to leads that you've already had contact with.
